We are passionate about nurturing the whole child in a way that is fun and engaging but still impactful and meaningful.
In-line with the Montessori philosophy, we believe children learn best through Play. SeedofPlay is about offering that initial introduction to woodwork knowing it will expand the horizons of children's capabilities and encourage a positive sense of self even when they are long off of the mat.

Billions of trees are cut down each year, with a large majority going into the construction industry. We have partnered with Solo Wood Recycling who rescue re-usable timber out of the waste stream, to make their already minimal waste impact even better! Now all the small off-cuts that don't make the cut for the larger projects have a place, in our material bags, ready to be transformed and loved again

Wood work shouldn't just be limited to DT sessions or forest school. We want it to be at your local school's summer or winter fair or eco market, or birthday party! Whichever it might be, Seed of Play aims to be accessible to children of all ages, all over the South of the UK

My journey with woodwork showed me how powerful creative carpentry can be, especially when using reclaimed wood to spark imagination, sustainability, and connection. Today, I host hands-on

It's so rewarding seeing the huge smiles from children of all ages as they break through any fears and step into a world of pure creativity and wonder. It's my pleasure to inspire, encourage and nurture these moments in our young people through the power of making with wood!

Designer & Facilitator - I am a passionate woodworker with a love for creativity, craftsmanship, and hands-on learning. For the past three years, I’ve had the honour of making, designing and teaching with Seed of Play, and the fun truly never ends! —I enjoy putting my inventors hat on, and being out on the field building futures- doing something good for our young people and our planet.
